A Letter from VLCC's Cycling Team

As a volunteer at the Alight Care Center since 2003, I know about the commitment that is required for the long haul. It takes time, energy, training, preparation, resources, finances, sacrifice, vision, prayer and God's grace. These things are also required for fund raising, even as a charity cyclist. The VLCC Cycling team has been riding together for over a year now and began preparing for this event since the beginning of the season. Our time, energy, preparation, training, sacrifice, and vision will enable us to ride 12 hours on June 19, 2010. This is one hour for every year the Alight Care Center has been serving the needs of the city of Troy, NY. Our prayer is that this demonstration of our commitment would be worthy of your financial support. Our goal on June 19 will be to ride over 120 miles. If you think this is a long haul, consider the commitment and the grace of God it took to get the Alight Care Center this far.
