Statement of Intent
and Guiding Principle

     At Alight we believe foremost in the sanctity of every human life, from conception to grave, at all ages and in every condition of existence.  At Alight we see every life as special and of immense worth.  Because of our reverence for life, at Alight we desire for every expectant woman to choose life over abortion for the unborn, for every parent to act in the best interests of their child, for every adult to respect the worth of other adults and for people to be given skills to overcome their weaknesses so that they may become assets for change in their community;

     At Alight we believe that children are a reward given by a loving Creator whose desire is that we raise, teach and train our children to be responsible and loving, and that each child feels welcome in an often-unfriendly world;

     At Alight we believe in the need for strong families, whatever their unique makeup, so we desire families to be a safe haven for children, a standard of excellence for nurturing the young and the old and a place of social strength to the communities they live in;

     At Alight we believe that all our spiritual, emotional and practical skills counsel to those in need must be joined with active assistance for physical needs, either directly or by service referral, and we are dedicated to bring that aid where possible.  This is our reasonable duty to those we willingly serve;

     At Alight we believe every child is a blessing and the success of every family is a priority.
